I liked him as an actor, too bad he was B and C movie typecast.

As regards the circumstances of his untimely death: Why ruin a pasttime as convenient and healthy as masturbation by depriving yourself of oxygen?
it appears he went out with a bang

I wonder if he was wearing those boots he used to carry around on Kung Fu...

To the chorus of "Kung Fu Fighting" - Everybody sing!

And he was was masturbating
'Til his hand was aching
Ended up asphyxiating
So the big dirt nap he's taking

(Death humor usually has a very short shelf life, so you have to do these things right away)

Yeah, I saw that on one of the TV news crawls - Too bad. I saw Koko a few years back at one of BB King's blues festivals. Great show.

I really liked the old Kung Fu show.  Watched it a lot when I was a kid.  I recall years ago seeing him on The Tonight Show (not sure if it was Carson or Leno) and he came out (after being introduced) and tripped over his feet, did a somersault roll, hopped up like nothing happened!  He sounded very under the influence during the whole interview and the host was visibly uncomfortable.

I too loved Kung Fu as a teenager. Surprising that he didnt have a bigger career than he did considering his almost Clint-esque style cool.

Death humor is big in Oz  :)

I heard that in the office the very next day after Hutchence died.

I read an interview years ago where he claimed to have filmed most of the Kung Fu series while whacked out on smack. Ever since, when I see the show I can't help but think it shows pretty obviously. And while I'm a pretty sober guy I must admit if it's true it certainly added believability to the character's serene personality!

Want to see Koko Taylor? Watch Blues Brothers 2000...she's in the group at the end.

ANY excuse to watch the end segment of Blues Brothers 2000 is a good one!  Fun movie...!
