I remember them being really poplular back in Cleveland. This was their song they played a lot on the radio.

Kind a mix of Zepplin & Black Sabbath as I remember.

I've got Banquet - by that time they had become a lot more jazzy/progish. I remember the Rolling Stone ads for Banquet. The band members sitting in some medieval banquet hall and the question as a heading: "Fed up with heavy metal madness?".

Lucifer's Friend was one of those cult favorites with my high school friends.  We thought they were very cool.  I've got a couple of their albums in my collection, including I'm Just a Rock and Roll Singer.  Singer John Lawton went on to Uriah Heep.

By their fourth album, Led Zep and Sabbath influences had somewhat  diminished, I hear more Gentle Giant, Steely Dan, Return to Forever and Blood, Sweat & Tears! Needless to say, I still like it.

They were cool. One of those bands that my friend's older brother had the record and we listened to it all the time. Then in high school, the cool guy down the street who had all the weird Kraut rock and cut-out bin specials had it. And recently, my mailman burned me a copy. I always thought they were kind of in that 70s Uriah Heep category.
