Herr Dasson,

your journals have arrived!!!
Where shall I send them?

Uwe

PS: For the curious among you, Scott is a famous rock star in Germany with regular features in hard rock magazines. He asked me to get him a few copies of a particularly flattering feature and send them to him, no doubt to be signed and then selectively distributed to only his most devoted female fans.

COOL ! You may send them to Scott Dasson 3017 Chili ave. Rochester NY 14624 USA. LOL female fans, I usually get the disaffected young males on my side of the stage yelling "dude you rock" I do have one(my wife) female fan who I'm sure would love to see this, she is German btw. Thanks for going out of your way Uwe ! Maybe a tour of Germany in '08 !

Okay, what's the back story here? There must have been a reason to make this public. Just what is this "journal"? Has Scott done a photo shoot for the German edition of Playgirl?

So what's up Scott? Uwe?

A few scandalous jpegs would be nice..... ;)

As far as I know there where no pictures....................................I hope. A German music mag. called Hardline reviewed our CD. Problem was that no one in the band could read it ! Uwe Kindly translated it for us and also got a hold of some copies. Heres  the link to the review on our site. http://johnnysmoke.homestead.com/reviews.html

"It's good that there are still bands out there who don't give a rat's ass about modern trends and just doggedly do their thing."

Now that's flattering.

Now is that the real translation or Uwenese?

Hi Bruce, glad to see you come out of lurk mode.

Good point, it must be Uwe's creative translation of some obscure German idiom. The original probably translates to something like "don't give an Alsatian's shinbone" and he has to translate it in terms we understand.  :D

godofthunder

Oh I'm sure Uwe tarted it up for us but hey  any publicity is good publicity !   ;)

Not so: The German read "sich einen Dreck darum scheren" which would literally translate into "give a dirt about something" i.e. not care at all. I found translating it into "not give a rat's ass" more elegant than "not give a shit".  :o

PS: Stuff is on its way, Scott. And your CD now incoporated in my CD collection, after Billy Joel, but before Judas Priest!

Myspace?

I still listen to freedom & Real Love. Great songs. Very nice reviews as well

Congrats Scott!

Needless to say, Herr Dasson has made damn sure his bass is overloud on the recording yet walks around with faux crocodile's tears lamenting how "I'm soooo far back in the mix". Gullible guys they are, his band mates let him turn up the fader even more.  ;D ;D
