Not a big deal for the informed user. If you have Windows Update turned on, you're okay, since Microsoft patched this immediately last fall.

It doesn't work like that. A computer infected with this worm would still be able to surf the web.

The infection rate is well under 1%, but it has been difficult to keep it from spreading to unguarded systems. That's why the warning. A bunch of good guys have come together to try to neutralize it.
