They're only 50 mm., about 2" so you can do both pickups and use the last one to hang your set list from your mic stand.

It's a lot of 5. Still two left over. Maybe I could use them for magnetic healing therapy.

Not me. He stopped posting years ago and never resurfaced in Ric-related websites, as far as I know.

I just did a search over at RRF and found a thread where it's mentioned that Ted disappeared sometime after 2011 and had left at least one forum member in the lurch, not finishing a reconstruction project and not responding to the forum member's requests. That's too bad, he knew a lot.

I stopped hanging out at RRF after Paul W. started to dominate the forum. He rubbed me the wrong way from the time he joined b/c he acted personally offended if my opinion was different from his. And then after awhile I didn't have any Rics so I didn't go back.

The RRF bass forum is dying. There's one reply today, after a week without a single post or reply.

I feel that the move to Facebook was a major blow to the activity, there.

That, and the inability to express opinions other than total worship of the product and its manufacturers without being banned. But there were some knowledgeable people there, and the register of course.

Exactly. I haven't bothered checking in for quite some time. Probably years!

A bit of fanboy-ism for sure. Kind of like a Rush forum.

GBP 6,999.00 for a copy? How about NO? And that tort guard... :puke:

ilan

Not really a copy as Ric never made such model, but it's interesting. They went further than Ric ever did with a multi-string bass. They actually made a 6-string version of the classic tailpiece/bridge instead of hacking 4-string tailpieces with a Dremel like RIC did (and later redesigned it into the current S/5) and designed a wide neck instead of cramping 5 strings in a 4-string width neck.

Dave W

Still a Ric copy even though it's not a copy of an existing or former Ric model.

I've seen one of these before. I dig it. But I don't know why they went to the trouble of reproducing that clumsy old bridge/tailpiece in 6 string form. Price is nuts.

ilan

At least they didn't have to make a special treble pickup surround and cover/handrest. Ric's standard part can accommodate 6 wide-spaced strings.
