Wow, that is weird looking.  My uncle is a great upright bass player, but I've never had an interest in it myself.  I love the electrified sound of a bass guitar.  Nothing like it!  Of course, he plays in a bluegrass band, so nothing electric is allowed!

Interesting. It looks like they're using decent quality materials. Hard to tell much from that sound sample.

I'll stick with electrics.
