I took a break from laquer  :P and laid out my S1. I need to put some more dark on the outer edges , but Im likin it so far.

I decided to do a  tiger head stock overlay

The green looks cool. Can't wait to see this one.

I was inspired by your blues hawk to do both these  projects. I do agree that if I had done a short scale on the S1 the hardware would have layed out better . I could not find a short scale neck at the time . Hell I may make another if I like this one.

Wow, that is really green! What kind of dye process/material did you use?
I'm fixin' a hole where the rain gets in..........cuz I'm built for a kilt!

I did the black dye and sanded back. Then I started with diluted stewmac bright green & a bit of yellow. I sanded back a bit, added a couple drops of green. Its nice(mostly because i like green) I left the edges  light  maple and the mahog is natural w/ white grain fill.

Water based or nitro medium?

Black is alcohol base from a powder. Yellow and green are water based.

I tried the faux binding and it came out good. here you can see where the top  trims for the arm cut.

Cool! To late for Saint Patrick's Day though;)

Dr. Aquafresh

The faux binding is super cool.

I like the idea of binding better than the instalation, the exposed maple edge really looks flash and no super glued fingers!

Bring on the Nubiles
