Hi guys,

I have a new, second band, besides Boilersuit. It's called The La La Lies and we want to make some more sixties, garage kinda music. Of course I play bass. Can't do anything else...;)
We don't have music yet, but we will record some original songs and covers early next year.

Please befriend us at:

If we record, of course I'll use the Bird:)

As long as you do "Lies" by The Knickerbockers, I'm there.

We have an original song called La La Lies (nothing to do with La La La Lies by The Who, though I called the band after that song) and we do One Track Mind by The Knickerbockers:)

We also do:
Almost Grown - The Small Faces
So Come On - Les Fleur De Lys
Night Time - The Strangeloves
I'll Make You Sorry - The Shadows of Knight
Shaking Street - ???
I Can Only Give You Everything - Them

And some originals we are writing.

I have Lies on CD though...

Well, since I know Jimmy Sohns, I'll let it slide.  I came *this close* to being the bass player for The Shadows of Knight in a reunion band line-up in the '80s.

Those are some really interesting choices as covers.  Best wishes for success.

The idea is to have enough original songs soon, but doing those coers is nice to get your sound right and it are song normal people don't know. Only freaks like you guys:)

Great vid! Great song! I swear I hear Steve Marriott in the chorusses. These are The Easybeats? I only know Friday On my Mind.

Actually the Easybeats consist of a brother of Angus and the other Young of AC/DC and two Dutch guys who moved to Australia.

We're busy for a couple of months now and the band is getting more 70s now. We'll see. At the end of this month we'll record two or three songs, so I'll have them up at the end of February:)

True Chris, Without George Young having blazed a trail in the fledgling Australian music industry of the 60's I can't see how Angas and Malcolm would have had the contacts to get ACDC to the heights it reached.

The 2 main songwriters for the Easybeats were Harry Vanda and George Young. Dutchman and a Scott. The band I'm with plays 2 of their songs which were hits here but I'm not aware of that being the case anywhere else.  "I'll make you happy" and "Sorry".

Great band, they wrote a lot of songs and most of them were good ones IMHO.

There was a documentary about AC/DC on tv recently Angus Young told the interviewer their parents asked them not to tell anybody on school their brother was in the Easybeats. He had long hair, it was pop music, so they were ashamed:)

Harry Vanda is Harry van den Berg and Dick Diamonde is Dick van der Sluys. Both Dutch guys.

Nice: Sultans of Swing of the Dire Straits has some links to The Easybeats.
Guitar George knows all the chords, Harry doesn't mind.... and: 'Saving it up to friday night.'
