out of all the basses you have, what are your favorite three if you had to choose to take with you to a desert island?

Place your bets that he takes the three with the largest bodies, makes a raft, and goes back for the rest.

I think it's also highly likely that he takes that Dean. You need something to spear fish with...

BTW why do people always call them "desert" islands if they're surrounded by water?

Because desert refers to lack of precipitation.

BTW: The Germans have a reputation for smuggling expensive goods and pieces of art out of countries with U-Boats, so I guess Uwe will find a way too.

Or he just shouts so loud in German, the sea will split so he can walk home. And make the island a part of Germany, in the mean time. That's called Anschluss.

My gunshot wound EB-OL because it sounds so wonderfully creamy in its blurriness.

The Super 400 acoustic fretless bass, because I would imagine to have a lot of spare time on that desert island to hone my fretless skills.

My 67 non-rev refin TBird or my 65 rev refin TBird or a new Bird such as the Zebrabird because I'm so undecided!

And if I get to take a fourth one: My early eighties Custom Shop korina short scale  Explorer.

i guessed to myself the 400 and the explorer. so i'm batting .500. i remember the bullet bass on auction and you posting the 400 pics in an afore mentioned forum. i forgot about the historic post about the explorer which was very enlightening, thank you again.

thanks for the eye candy Uwe.

Off the top of my head, it's hard to be limited to 3.  I love Uwe's choices.  I guess I'd go with my 60's NR TB, my Gretsch Thunderjet (for a short scale) and my Les Paul Signature bass.  If there were extra room, I'd grab my Black reverse TB and my EB-650!

yIKES, MAKE ME STOP!!!!   :P

If you really go away take the Zebrawood Uwe and I'll adopt the blue non rev.

I'll just take my T-bird and the 4005 as fire wood.

Uwe can't respond at the moment.  He's working feverishly in his secret basement lair, making the final adjustments on his "mudbucker of mass destruction"
