I just read Anthony Jackson passed away.
I remember an article in Guitar Player Magazine (in the 1970's) where he stunned an interviewer by stating that his two greatest influences were Jack Bruce and Paul McCartney.

Tough to know Anthony's gone. He was one of the all time greatest bassists. Interestingly Jeff Berlin has also been known to sing the praises of Jack Bruce as a foundational influence. I won't argue with them.
