New 2025 Gibson Thunderbirds

I can't say a whole lot but they are on thier way. Pedestrian color choice of 2, shares the set neck construction of the new Firebirds, hardware and pickups I can't say but we've seen it before, definitely not 60's like. That is all.

Maybe cheaper and easier since the two signature models they currently make are set neck?

They have reissued every possible iteration of the Les Paul with attention to details like a long neck tenon and dozens of shades of burst, but can not offer a proper vintage spec'ed TBird? It's like offering only bolt-on LPs with EMGs.

My Epi is more properly spec'd than anything Gibson has done since the 70s. Had a great show with it last night.

Cheaper, then, I guess, since they're already making two set-neck models and no neck-through. Still seems weird to me.

For cheap guitars they have Epi. Gibson USA should have made accurate replicas of the 60s TBird II and IV, and maybe a modernized version with De Cola pickups, 3-point, set neck, bolt-on, whatever.
