I like the clear, but I think the white could also look great if it were super aged.

I have to admit I am a fan of paisley - mainly because my dad liked it and had several paisley ties (only one of which I managed to find after he passed away) - so I think the clear looks great! I liked the original one you posted before too (sea foam green?)

Just ordered a clear pickguard, to be closer to the 1968 Paisley Tele bass aesthetics.

Just found that photo - I kinda like the paisley as a shout-out to the 60s. Not sure that it's at its greatest advantage over clear, though.
