Definitely the first one I've ever seen that was'nt standard finish from the factory.

Holy crap. Looks NOS, no pitting on the gold plating. Totally worth $3K.

I hope it weighs 14lbs. to justify passing on it ;)

Designed by chiropractors.  There was at least one clear headstock and the brown one that John Deacon had. Looks dang spiffy in black w rosewood.
Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

My thought immediately , I've only seen a small number , but they all weighed a ton.

Many years ago I bought one (LPB/rosewood) but returned it the next day. Sounded like a dream and weighed like a nightmare. I have a NOS harness (PCB, pots, switch, jack), one day I'll rout a lightweight P under the guard and install it.

I have a dead preamp board in my graveyard somewhere. The board mounted pots were junky. I yanked it and went passive. Then I dumped it. I really disliked maple board with painted headstock. Looked odd.

The brass thumb rest adds to the tone.  :-X
