A "defect" right were the s/n probably was? I'd pass.

Could be a bargain, though.

Could be fun. But don't expect it to be anything like the real lo-z Gibson Les Paul Bass.
Pickups are not lo-z. And most likely not even humbuckers.

I owned a similar one. The neck was a multiplex laminate and the fretboard had developed a huge bump near the neck joint.
Body was semi-hollow. Pickups were microphonic.
A cute little bass, but it always was a stepchild in the family.

I owned one exactly like that one. With shortcomings as described above.

Except mine had the CBS logo silkscreened on it instead of the Master M
