Squier Bronco
« on: June 10, 2022, 02:55:42 AM »
My local shop had this lim ed Squier Bronco and I was afraid it would be bought by a school to be abused by kids. So I saved it, bought a paisley guard and I tried to make a Vincent van Trigt Paisley Mustang on a budget. This whole bass is cheaper than the Novak Darkstar in the Van Trigt 'Stang.

I love the color scheme.

You might want to re-check the grooves in the saddles, it looks like the A and D are too far apart.
The guy who bought the same bass twice — first in 1977 and again in 2023

That's a new excuse for buying another bass: saving it from school kids. Good one!  ;D

The Bronco is a very pleasant short scale, and the necks are excellent to play.  It's probably the model that has been modded most in recent years...the price makes it attractive as a platform for trying different pickups.  I really like mine with its Gretsch 2202 pickup. There are some long, interesting threads on TB about mods to Broncos.
