The Zombiebacker TRC is a nice touch.

morrow

The Ric legal team is not as vigilant as they used to be .

I'm glad you deciphered that. I couldn't make it out.  Agreed, very nice touch!!

Slightly steep price for a bolt-on copy, even if it is one of the better ones.

Dave W

Maybe if it was in pristine condition. As is, it's too high.

I like the idea of a bolt-on Ric 4000 Series (the 4080 and 480 were bolt-on). But I never played a Greco Ric clone. A friend has a Greco EB3 clone and it's very heavy, so that's a concern.

EDIT: my lowball $700 offer was accepted... and free int'l shipping. Thanks for the heads-up, Pilgrim!

WOW! Congrats. That seems like a nice price for something like that.

Well, sonuvagun!

I didn't think of the possibility that someone here would be interested.  I hope it plays great for you!!

Please let us know how it turns out.

Congrats, Ilan. If anyone here was going for it, it would have to be you.

Now you'll have to mod this one using the mudbucker you took out of your EB-0L.

OMG why would I want to do that to this poor bass. And I'm already using that mudbucker as a counter-weight attached to the strap near the EB-0L's rear button. It has found its true calling within a Gibson bass  ;)

I am toying with the idea of installing a Hipshot bridge for a palm-mutable Ric.

They're nice, but unless you want a boat anchor, make sure you get the aluminum version.

Will do. I dislike high-mass bridges. They cut low end frequencies.

They seem to suck a lot of energy and excitement from the strings in my limited, empirically driven experience. Almost like having a subtle compression and EQ added to the mix. I have an 'Omega' Badass II copy in a box, alongside a Fender Badass II and a Gotoh 201. I like the Gotoh the most, but still felt it robbed a bit of vitality from the string somehow.
