Vincent Van Trigt 1952 Peacock Precision Bass. $22,500

There are also two limited edition basses - P Bass Special Journeyman Relic (in 3TS, Aged Dakota Red and Aged Sherwood Green Metallic), and Custom Jazz Bass Heavy Relic (in Aged Natural, Aged Black and Faded Aged 3TS).

If you don't want to spend $22,500, you can buy a Fender/Mattel Hot Wheels guitar for a mere $12,500 (and up).

And don't forget that $3500 Fender swamp ash sunburst turntable.

From a collector's perspective, I'd say the Katana is worth every bit of $12,500.

I don't quite get the Journeyman basses. It's a mix of historically unrelated features. Jazz necks with transition logo and a modern heel cut, vintage features and relicing with a modern high-mass bridge, aged 60s nitro finishes with black laminated post-74 style guards and treble-side tug bar... and when they do use tort, it's so ugly. For this price tag, get some Spitfire tort, just like Dan Lakin does, and he charges a fraction of what Journeyman guitars cost.

I kinda like the fretless ("Hot Wheels™ Night Shifter™ Fretless Precision Bass®, Black with Blue Competition Stripes"). Built by Vincent Van Trigt, who also built the Peacock bass. Ebony board and Curtis Novack T-Bird pickups.

Not $16,500 like, but like.

I guess I should be glad they didn't make a bass version of the Violimaster Tele. This way I get to keep both kidneys.

The pickup and surround on that Peacock Precision Bass look like a $15 AliExpress cigar box guitar pickup. Absolutely ludicrous. It looks like they stole some birdy Chinoiserie wallpaper from the rundown Chinese restaurant I used to live near.
