Anyone in the know of what bass there is at 2:35? Most spectacular tune, by the way.

Framus?

No bass in this video, but my favorite Benny Hill number.

Rob

Looks like Framus at 2:47

Guess you guys are just about right! Benny's playing a Framus, but what Ernie is playing, now that is anyone's guess... (Eeeerniiiieeee!)

Dave W

Interesting aside: the lines "Ernie was only 68, he didn't want to die" and his rival was "Two-ton Ted from Teddington." In real life, Benny Hill died of a heart attack at age 68 in his flat in Teddington.

This was the original performance from the show in 1970. The studio recording a year later became a hit single, and Ernie's age was changed to 52 in that version.

Framus would be my guess too.

It's a Klira 561 "Arkansas".

Please keep your eyes open for my stolen 1973 Burgundyglo Rickenbacker 4001 Serial # MD1582. It was stolen in November of 2006. Reward for its return. Thx!

I'd swear I saw a scripted F logo on the headstock.

Same here.

I don't think it's a Klira. Headstock looks different from the one Klira Arkansas imgae I found.
