I'm still working and keeping the doors to my business open as long as possible here in New Hampshire. Most of the retail business is carrying on as usual besides restaurants and bars. My vendors in Massachusetts are still getting shipments out to me. I guess they managed to get considered as essential businesses. I'm hoping things will be manageable enough to remain open. If not then I guess I'm...

I've been in the flight case business for 23+ years. We got hit hard immediately. As soon as tours and corporate events got cancelled, we were done. I was just told today that all hourly employees (that's everyone but me - 16 guys) will be furloughed for at least 6 weeks. Me personally, I am now at about 29% of my normal salary. That's going to be tough, but at least it's something. This is an incredibly strange situation. We've been on a roller coaster for years - from the early days when there was no money, to 9/11 shutting things down, to the economic downturn of 2008. But this blows them all away.

Which means when it comes to health, though, you have less to worry about than most since your state was already one of the safest states--at this point in time I might add.

compare to this: Tennessee vs Kentucky vs COVID19

I was just noticing that on the news. When it comes to that article on Gibson comparing the two states, it's more relevant now than when it was written.

Turns out I'm essential. Commercial retail businesses offering community based essential functions which include home improvement can remain open. Business will be slower and I'll operate under reduced hours probably but at least I can still generate income and not have to collect unemployment. As of now, I have a few installations scheduled including two churches. I guess you could say I'm on a mission from God  8).

Beshear in KY and Dewine in Ohio actually became leaders, and did mostly the right things.  You can disagree with their politics, but they did right by the people of their states. I'm working from home in KY...
