I think that might be a win-win situation.

"After 40 years of working six days a week running the business, I'm thrilled that this partnership with Warwick will enable me to return my focus to custom-built instruments while introducing our instruments and accessories to more musicians than ever before,"

Does this mean he'll only be doing the true custom orders in NY? Will the "regular" NY models now be made in Germany similar to the Warwick German Pro Series?

If I were him, I wouldn't be offering anything made in China. But I'm not him. Otherwise, it looks like a good move. He's built a great business, he can't keep building them indefinitely, and he's decided now is the time to act. Good for him.

I think I had a blackout when posting it in Fender while I wanted it to do here.

As far as I know now, there will be four series apart from accessories:
- New York built custum shop: hand buit by Roger
- German Custom Shop
- German normal series, almost custom shop, but with a certain amount of colours and options
- Chinese ones in the Chinese Warwick factory, so not cheap either

Because the world needs more Jazz Bass clones.  :P I do give Sadowsky credit for being on the leading edge there and making really nice instruments.

He may have been the first to offer a premium J-type.
