Gibson creates the Murphy Lab and is "elevating" its Custom Shop

"Meticulous aging" -- relics with sky-high price tags. I suppose it's better than Henry's ridiculous marketing ideas.

If they want to be truly authentic, they'll make the Les Pauls with pre repaired headstocks.
Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.

When I was in college, in the winters we wore casual boots with Vibram soles. We called them "waffle stompers" due to the tracks they left.

They would go perfectly with that pedal!  8)

Colorado boots! They were all the rage when I was in high school late 70s/early 80s.

The problem with that Chibson waffle pedal is that it doesn't "play authentic."

I get that it can be kind of cool to create a certain atmosphere for the audience but I’d rather all the ware and dings be my story.

I was the “Stock Boy” at a large Kinney shoe store about the time these were first introduced. Watching reruns of Married With Children reminds me of how close I came to having that glamorous life myself.............
