I like my coffee black and Clapton when he's high and playing a Gibson with Cream.

Black coffee here too.

Clapton. Hard. I like him in Cream and the later bands, but never solo. He's good with other people.

I also like my coffee black. We keep Pete's at home. Slowhand was pretty good.
Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.

Coffee black here, although I have recently discovered Bourbon Cream, and in the evening I'm not averse to a mug of decaf with a shot-plus of that tasty add-on.

I can't recall hearing anything of Clapton's that I don't like. I'm a fan.

Well I guess I have to rise to the defense of Eric's mellow 70s solo stuff. I dig it. Reminds me of lazy summer days in high school looking for (and USUALLY finding) a way to get buzzed. After the live "Just One Night", I pretty much fell off. But I've never been a coffee drinker, so what do I know?  ;)
