It should be overwhelming bass.  At least it was on my 1000.

OMG, you guys! 

There's a lot of confusion about the OMG position. It puts the coils in series with a .1uF capacitor that severely cuts the highs. Big volume bump over the other positions plus an apparent bass boost that's really a treble cut. On top of that, the controls are Volume, Treble and Bass. The Treble is your common passive tone control, the Bass control is a 1 meg reverse audio taper bass cut control. Turning it up gives the sensation of even more bass.

Definitely one of Leo's own templates. It's the same shape as the G&L SC-2 guitar from the early 80s. The Fallout guitar has been around for 5 or 6 years.

All the Fallout models shown have only volume and tone, I should have looked more closely. My comments about the passive bass cut control apply to the L-1000 controls, but the three-way circuit switching should be the same on the L-1000 and the Fallout.

Godin has a nice one, Fender/Squier has five or six different Mustangs. There are hollowbodies here and there, maybe a US Epi Rivoli soon. All cool!

There has been some confusion about the OMG position, and there may have been circuit variations over the years. There are G&L experts who know much more than I do.

The early instruction sheet for the switch called it “Single Coil mode plus added bass boost” but as far as I can tell, it was never single coil in the OMG position. Even in early examples that have been tested, the DCR in OMG mode is twice the DCR in single coil mode (center switch position), and there's no hum. It was later shown in a schematic as "series humbucking with .1uf capacitor."
