I blame Uwe for this.

I'm blaming Uwe for this....... Your Q80 is at fault, as is the Les Paul Oversize.
They'll be here next week, first non Thunderbird basses in my house in over two decades.

Nice choices! Gold is the in thing these days. It would be nice to see the LP make a comeback but good going for you in case they don't.

Congrats! Nice to see a Q80 in such good shape, at least it sure looks to be.

Nice!
Hope they match your wardrobe ;)

Nice! Hard to believe that the LP OS came out in 2011, time flies! That chunky fella is going to need a wide strap! Nice Q-80 also. Never seen a gold one.....

What have I done? In gold?! Both?!!!

That Q-80 even looks great in gold.

The art of German diplomacy and general reticence lets me remain silent on the oversize Gold Top - though I have one like that too, neither the oversize body nor the fin does much for me.

But Mark can wear anything!

If I recall correctly, back when I bought mine Mark was lusting for a black one. Over time, tastes mature! The first year the LP OS was produced, a total of 400 were made in all three optional colors. They made them again the next year with a full sized "Normal" Gibson headstock. I never heard how many.

The Q80 looks great in gold finish! Congratulations!

I really wanted a black one pretty bad, but they just don't come around much. Gold is a hot color right now (especially in Lighting), but not the overly polished gawdy stuff from the '80s. I'm a big gurl so the Oversize LP might actually look right on me - We have a big show on the 26th it'll come along and get some stage time.
