Uwe will be having full knee replacement surgery on June 25th. See attached pic.

His message: "Ask the guys whether I should do chrome, nickel or black hardware!"

Okay, guys, have at it. Creative suggestions welcome.  ;)

Black color only if it comes with lightning bolts. Gotta make the theme work.  8)

I say nickel.  Of course each case is going to be different and I've heard stories about it.  But all I can say personally is my mother had a complete knee replacement about five years ago.  Rarely have I ever seen anything go so smoothly.  Everything was successful and she seemed to be in very little pain.  This is someone in her 80s.

Chrome for durability. For Uwe there's even black chrome as an option.

I say ceramic. If they can make brake pads from it, it should be good enough for a knee.
Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.

Does finish affect the sound of ones knees cracking?

And of course - CHROME!

Chrome!

If it isn't chrome, what's point?  :-*

Best Wishes for a safe, easy recovery Uwe!

I'm a fan of stainless, but it's not vintage correct.

Chrome with Evertilt. A knee has to be able to move back and forth, right?

Titanium might be the only option for that accessory, but the cane that will assist your walking at first comes in many flavors (& organic materials)!
