A little later today I'll be on a 787 to London, then a short hop to Paris to see the sights.  Of course the real news is that after dealing with French art and architecture for a couple of days we'll take another short hop to Frankfurt, Germany where our good moderator/Gibson Bass GruppenKommader Uwe Hornung keeps Ze Collection. The Pilgrimage is on! Thunderbirds are GO!

That's the first city I saw when I went on my first trip to Europe many years ago.  It brings back memories.  I'm sure it will be great fun.

Have a great trip!  I'm sorry my June trip won't take me near Uwe, but ships don't travel well off-water.

I am sooooo getting ready!!!

Oh boy, here it comes.  When I was there he annexed me to a bunker (granted it was full of weird German refreshments and half of ze Kollektion, which helped pass the time... but it was the lesser half - all the Gibsons were at ze office, or should I say: Ze Bureau).  On the way there he could not help but point out a few, apropos as it were, strategic landmarks.

Have a good trip. Try to check out the new RD and let us know what you think since Uwe hasn't been so forthcoming about it. Try not to fill up on too much sausage in Frankfurt  :gay:
Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.

Have a great trip and do extensive beer research!
