I used to love it back in the days where eBay were a little more open about what people had bought and sold.

You'd find idiots buying old Tokai basses and sticking on Gibson truss rod covers or replacing decals and flipping them to unsuspecting punters.  We have a guy over here in the UK who sells this sort of junk...the most ridiculous customisation/conversions.

What exactly would that be?  Seller claims it is neck-thru.   I'm not aware of any knock-offs exactly like that one.  Perhaps Chinese?

What are those pickups? I think I see something like a Gibson logo on one but they don't even fit the routes, and of course TB pickups never had logos that I've seen.

Probably not the Thunderbird one because they look slimmer and the routing also looks like it's been filled.

Tokai made neck thru, set neck and bolt on versions in the 90s. I don't remember seeing one with binding though.

That body wood doesn't look like real mahogany to me.
