Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.

Love midnight oil. I like both their bassists. The late great underrated Bones Hilman.

I just read that drummer Martin Rotsey has died as well. Sad.

RIP Tim Thomas, guitarist/vocalist of Babe the Blue Ox, they were the best live band in NYC circa 1995. Found out from mutual friends that he died suddenly a few weeks ago, survived by his wife and two teenage daughters   :-\
Been listening to them a lot.

Wow, that sucks. Thanks for letting us know.  I remember seeing Babe the Blue Ox in the '90s, but  forget where and when. I think in Boston, playing with Kustomized.

Midnight Oil is one of my favorite 90s-2000s bands. Scream in Blue Live is a favorite live album.

Funny you should post this. I'm right in the middle of a big flight case order from the Bruno camp. (4) Wardrobes, (1) seamstress case, an 8 drawer work box, double-wide 28U rack, double-wide 16U rack, (4) multi-keyboard vaults, and (2) percussion cases.

I'm sure they travel with a LOT of gear!

I really like them:

They're Irish, refreshing and jaunty. And up and coming. Just the right mix of garage vibe, pop and solid rock ability.

Last Friday night - saw the Eagles in the Las Vegas Sphere! All I can say is- if you can go to a good concert there, do it! Sit in the 300 or 400 levels for the best view. Sound is incredible, but this is a total environment that is unlike anything I've ever experienced. Some shots - the first is the pre-show screen made up of a collage of shots from their past - then some of the effects they used. The vertical shot is Glenn Frey's son, who sings the lead on songs his dad took the lead on.

I would love to see the Eagles some day.

Sadly, Dave isn't here to post country music videos anymore.  And he was a country expert.  I'm not really even much of a country fan.  But I do know some things about the genre.  Here is a good example of one of the best new country artists.  I would probably call this country pop.  I've been listening to Ella Langley a lot lately.  She has several good songs.  I've been reading some of the reviews of this song.  It seems some people are a little confused by the lyrics.  This is just something from her imagination.  I realize that it might be sad if she got rejected in real life the way she did in the song.  But she didn't.  Also, it's true she makes it seem like she is from Tennessee in the song.  But she's from Alabama.  But there are people out there believing everything she says in this song.  What I believe is that Ella Langley is a great singer/songwriter and a shining star in today's country music.  Also, in the song I-40 refers to a highway.  Not Ella's age.  She is 26.  In reading these reviews, rarely have I seen so many people misunderstanding the lyrics to a song.

I know this is mostly a rock bass forum and that's fine with me.  My main purpose in being here was to learn mostly about the Gibson bass knowledge posted here.  But Dave kind of made it a place for country music, too, sometimes.  He most likely would have approved of Ella Langley.  I know I sure do.
