So, what have you been listening to lately?

I think the most interesting thing here to me is that that guy has almost 14 million subscribers.  How did that happen?

Basvarken

Well he can play bass. And he is (kinda) funny.

In the limited number of videos I've seen from him, I think the end might be the first time I've seen him smile.

As an English speaker, his idiosyncratic Italian-English accent gets on my nerves.  Usually an Italian speaking English sounds sexy, especially if it's a female.  But that guy isn't.  Of course it isn't his fault.  Plus, he can speak English and I can't speak Italian.  That's something to my own detriment.  But he is obviously very talented, too, and seems to be very good-natured, although his sense of humor really doesn't much appeal to me. I think it's safe to say I'm not part of his target audience anyway.  Usually people who are expert bassists appeal to me, but not this time.

I don't particularly like MC5, but I sure like Suzi Quatro and Alice Cooper.  The last CD I bought a few weeks ago was by Alice Cooper.  That was a good video and Alice Cooper's comment about hair was a little amusing, too.

I find it incredibly relieving that Suzi is aging gracefully and keeping the beauty suregons at bay. Her son can be proud of his mom.

I heard the MC5's Kick Out The Jams first in 1975 (ie relatively late) and I was floored by the frantic energy. A classic. I still think that Deep Purple's In Rock owes a bit to that MC5 sound sonically, albeit with Lord's organ added.

I find it amazing that a number of Americans will live out their entire lives remembering Suzi Quatro as a character on "Happy Days" but never know she had success in music in the UK and Europe.  When people ask the question why did she choose to live outside the U.S., what kind of question is that?  She got way more attention elsewhere.  However, I will say that in America a TV role, even a very successful one can brand someone and keep their opportunities from expanding.  In Suzi's case, music was her main interest anyway.  She didn't have to confine herself to American TV.  Thank God, I might add.

Auntie Alice's output has been somewhat uneven over more than half a century, but I have every one of his albums.

Thanks, that reminded me that I needed to complete some of my Alice Cooper orders.  I got two CDs today.  But I had to buy Brutual Planet used.  Good deal, though.

Alice's 'Goes to Hell' I find myself listening to pretty often.

I prefer garage- and poppy Alice Cooper to the heavy metal version. There are better heavy metal singers than him, but there is only one Alice Cooper. I really like his Lennon'esque voice on ballads.
