Who could resist those graceful lines and tastefully applied graphics?  :P

I'll wait a couple of years for the reissue.  hehehe.
The future I come from no longer exists.

It's a nice enough example. I'll be surprised if he gets much more than his starting bid, unless two or more Outposters get in a Christmas bidding war.

Grog

This Outposter already has two. It's time to spread the cheer to another open minded bassist!

Great bass!

And certainly a head-turner.

Also - thankfully so - a real head-tuner.

But it's true what Rob says, I've never seen anyone in a band - even the most vintage obsessed guitarists that would never be caught with a guitar shaped like that - be dismissive of the looks of my 20/20. There are a lot of things right about it. It's a puristic, functional design, Ned put some thought into it. The only real surprise I get is when people ask incredulously: "Oh, it's actually made of wood?" That always seems to defeat expectations, to a lot of people paddle = not wood, the first Steinbergers created a lasting perception.

As modernistic 80ies basses go, it's a classic like the Kubicki Factor.

And if you wear a cape with it, chances are that people think you are the keyboarder and you will get some girls too for once!

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...
