Well, Lemmy did work for Jimi Hendrix as a roadie.
And The Hamsters is a British band that plays Hendrix repertoire

Highlander

The random mind of a Silver Surfer...
If research was easy, it wouldn't need doing...
Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

Dave W

Kia has used critters before, e.g. this one featuring Those Darlins' Red Light Love.

Highlander

Still uncomfortable with places that eat dogs as part of their culture, but then again, can't comment about most of the far east really, when it comes to "exotic" food... :o

Pah, what does that Dutchman know?!

And this here is actually cool and should appeal to funky ole Rob:

More sultry than souly, but still an excellent cover:

We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

Basvarken

Haha. Yes apparently Lemmy had Soul in (Ace of) Spades.

This is apt here and the vicar's son even sings on it (Did he ever after Silver Machine?  ), especially towards the end, voice an octave higher and all ...

being a big fan of both   motorhead and Bowie and a coverhead I was quite excited at that but it didn't quite hit the mark somehow, cant quite put my finger on why.
Motorheads covers album was one of the best in that oeuvre definitely worth a listen

my contribution to the cool covers
