Shaming for all those among us who complain about back pains when they play their Victory basses!

In some ways, your body gets smarter as it gets older.  I'll leave the basses over 9 pounds to the younger, more vigorous and foolish.   8)

It looks pleasantly worn and scuffed. The bass, not the girl.
Hell, John Wetton still troops out his Victory! (Edit. RIP, John).
Why did Salvador Dali cross the road?
Clocks.

That does it. One of my Victorys is getting gigged soon. Hell, they are no heavier than my Telecaster Basses!

I know grown men who complain about the weight [wink, wink]!

It is a very under-rated bass (and looks best when hung with the neck diagonally up like that as well FYI).  I prefer it to just about any P I have ever played (I have not played super vintage ones) in both sound and feel.

Are they heavier than RD's...?

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

Close call; I'd have to go check (I have both).

It's as much about the balance as it is about the weight. In some cases even more.

Basvarken

Absolutely Dave. My Les Paul Bass is rather heavy, but it had never bothered me because it balances perfectly.

Victories are perfectly ergonomic and sit stable on your gut, but they are certainly one huge fat hunk of maple.
