I've modded my Bach with a chinese 9.2K TB-PUP.

Where I usually blend PUP outputs I never used that option on this bass with the black bridge PUP because I felt it dulled the sound of the single-coil P-PUP. As expected, the TB-PUP adds a magnificent sparkle to the P-PUP.  :-*

Also decided to mount a PUP-cover so I can use 2 thumb-rest positions ( 2nd on the TB-PUP ) for different sounds. That the chrome combines beautifully in the looks dept. is an added bonus  ;D

That looks pretty hot actually.  Now if the fingerboard was rosewood it would be perfect ;P

Needs more chrome.

Seriously, that's a major improvement in appearance and no doubt in sound too.

That indeed looks nice, even if I would prefer a solid color, and not this fungus-ate-my-guitar thingie. Also, we need soundclips, but you already know that...

The original pickup actually sounds great too. Completely different from the HongKongbucker.
So "major improvement" really sells the original short IMHO.

I stand corrected. But it just didn't look right so close to the bridge.

love the chrome but Tele's need a pickguard. Either classic Tele style or Cabronita style.

Pekka

Looks great and definitely needs no pickguard.

Hmmm, G&L Asat with T-Bird pickups. Has anyone tried?

Maybe, but I'm in kinda "off with the pickguards" zone lately and a single-ply off-white is not my first choice for this little basstard. Could be I whip out the ol' jigsaw and make myself a nice 3-ply black one day ..........  ;)
