Bet Tom Petersson will buy it!

Hopefully he's short from just buying something else :)

Not me. But if it was an all original unbroken one, I would have taken out a loan. However, I am moving wednesday so it may have hurt my mortgage on my house! Not enough information or close up photos.

I think that was an original finish because Gibson painted the sides of the necks all the way up to the top of the fingerboard, not where the fingerboard starts on the side like many unknowledgeable refinners do!!!! Yikes!!! DOH!!!! !!!!! damn!!!!!!

Yes, I've seen this as well as the black raised section.

Dammit!!!! I don't hate you. I sometimes get too wrapped up in fanatical Thunderbird obsessive aficionado-ism. That Bass plays and sounds great. You just wait until you string it up!!! It's a Killer. And Phil Petillo, from New York, who is suppossed to be an engineer, repaired it. My luthier/repair guy Joe checked it out after I got it. It's a good solid repair.

Agreed. The multiple laminations on the hs repair are rock solid. Probably 20 times stronger than the original unbroken neck!
