Having some fun with an oldie..........
I have the bass line walking a little, seems to move the song a long a bit better than the original.

Thanks Al! I'm just having fun at it while I still can!
We had a great time at this show, I wish there was more video of it.

Last song of the night, we were joined by the headliner's singer and his daughter.

T-Rex never gets old - we haven't played this song in more than 10 years, was the perfect opener!

Quote from: ilan on November 27, 2024, 01:17:11 PMIf you ever want one in pre-butchered original condition, just as John Fitzgerald Gibson intended, you know where to find me.

One thing I'd appreciate is an explanation (if possible) of the #3 and #4 positions of the rotary switch, 1
and 2 are evident. On mine, 3 and 4 do not seem much different and both are rather unremarkable in terms of tone.
What I'd really like to be able to do is blend both of the pickups together in addition to just soloing either of them.

And I always thought your immediate thoughts at the demand Gimme sluthead! were not fit to print, Mark!

I need to get out more, my dirty little mind hadn't even gone there. :-*

I have to admit to being utterly fascinated at first by the amount of bass the Mudbucker can produce - the house wants to rattle apart! Turning it off is hard to do but I only recently tried just the bridge pickup with the tone pretty much rolled off and WoW! It seems to really cop that big, sort of woofy tone of Andy Fraser very nicely, not that I can even remotely get to his skill level.

Quote from: Pilgrim on November 21, 2024, 03:35:57 PMI like that EB-3; the SG body style has always been one of my favorites. Is yours the EB-3L in 34" scale, or the original 30"? The short scale versions have great balance.

Mine is a 30" scale, balances perfectly.
I sat and played it today, just engaging the bridge pickup and a slight EQ on the amp and it's just right there, great to play along to some Free or Cream.

Pete Way sporting a Bicentennial ThunderBird

(and Paul Raymond with an upside down SG. And Paul Chapman with a NR Firebird)

Ah yes, Pete's had a little too much to drink and left his trousers undone - again. No Schenker, no real magic left, much as I like Mr. Moog.
