... that's a lot of work. One thing I learned to love about Danos was how they were designed to be cheap , and yet were very playable , but you had to accept the cheap tuners , wonky bridges and other eccentricities.
I started a project bass after buying a cheap Talman. Changed the pickup , but haven't yet changed the other pickup , pots and tuners I had planned to do. I'll never break even with it as it is.

People are making a point of not buying anything from the US. The other day I noticed some things in the grocery store were turned upside down ... it was to alert people not to buy the item.

Now , I live way off , out on the coast in Nova Scotia. The edge of the planet. No major industry , low population density , no great mineral deposits ... we are not what he's apparently after. I doubt Trump will be sending troops out this way.
Unless he's adding lobsters to his list.
With Trudeau stepping down we have a new Liberal leader , the Conservative candidate is somewhat modelled on the MAGA ideal , I do not want to see that happen here. The new Liberal leader , Carney , is an economist , and seems to realize economic decisions affect people. He seems to have some compassion. I think he'll take the upcoming election. He will stand up to Trump. So I think he's about to become the right guy at the right time.

We'll see soon enough.

I put a cover on my 4000 and find it doesn't get in the way. I was used to them on a 51 reissue Pbass. Now I'd love to find one for my 4001.
