Rickenbacker Basses / Re: Music videos that feature Rics

Quote from: uwe on November 21, 2024, 05:12:58 AMRare: Trevor Bolder, otherwise an EB-3 and P-Bass player, frees you with a 4001 ...

I've seen Trevor with a Ric before, but not that one. Pretty sure it was black. I'd like to get a closer look at this white one. Wonder what's going on where the treble pickup goes?

Quote from: uwe on December 02, 2024, 03:30:58 AMThe late Ed Gagliardi with a lefty 4001:

Interestingly, he was a righty, but chose to play lefty "out of admiration (for) and devotion to Paul McCartney", so Wiki claims.

There's a guy in a Chicago-based Beatles tribute that switched to lefty.

And I'm pretty sure Ed had a greenburst Ibanez Rickenfaker early on.

I'm currently playing a 32'' scale Alembic, tuned down to C#, and it sounds incredible. The end.

See, I know what I'm talking about too!  ;D

Yeah, that's a beauty, and I've always loved that AzureGlo color.

Michael is out of his mind. He won't stop bashing his far more successful brother. Oh well. Jabs is an excelllent player, and perfect for what they became, but he doesn't have any kind of distinctive style.

Speedy's Comin - one of my faves!

Blue Murder - I liked that band, but in hindsight, the lyrics are awful. Coverdale wouldn't have made a difference in that department.  ;D

Wow, never saw those 1973 Scorps vids before. Pre Fly to the Rainbow! Is Francis wearing a Ball State shirt? It's a college in Indiana. And Ulrich on a Gibson?  :o  Man, what an amazing guitarist he is.

I don't imagine Jurgen would be the best guy to play Rock You Like a Hurricane.

Stumbled across this today. Great bass line and well played. Loved that show as a kid and have recently gotten into watching reruns. It holds up!

Nice, even with the distortion it still has a P Bass quality. Nice Bonanza riff too.  ;D
