I didn't know that Uwe. I always thought they are TB Plus pickups, and the difference in sound is because of the 50 mm thick maple body...

Well... if you really want to put those pickups in:

I have my Pearl Export Bass for sale. It's basicly an Epiphone Genesis. It comes from the same Matsumoko factory. Built in the late seventies I think.
You'd have to cannibalise it...

"Ne Me Quitte Pas" from Jacques Brel is one of the most intense songs I have ever heard. Every time when I hear/see this I get cold chills down my back.

The despair in his voice/lyrics/performance are breathtaking. "Even" when translated into English it still holds up.

Sorry guys, no news.

I'm getting fed up with it.
I've tried to get info on the project numerous times. And I never get a decent answer from them. They always have an excuse ready.
Last thing I heard from them was a week ago telling me: "all is OK". and apologies for the delay.

I hate the fact that I can't give you guys any better news.
No matter what I do, it doesn't seem to speed up the process.

Bass Amps & Effects / Re: What's your favorite bass overdrive / fuzz?

My Technophobia BasScreamer Deluxe has finally arrived. I've used it a couple of times at rehearsal and I can say it's a keeper.
With the clean blend you don't lose any low end like you would with other "normal" overdrive pedals.
I use it to give the Orange AD200 a little of the "sweet drive" that an Ampeg V4B has when you push it a little.

Plus the extra boost option comes in handy when you need to push the sound over the edge for a wild fuzzy part in a song.

Oh come on guys!  :puke:
The Guild a least has some lines with tension in it.
But this monstrosity has none whatsoever. It's just a big blob, an amoebe, a pot belly bass

That is one of the ugliest basses I've seen in a long time.
Looks like the guy who drew the body shape has a severe case of Parkinson's disease...

Cars from the fletsen thieves?  :o

You two have no shame.

The "fietsen thing" is no longer an issue since a certain German lawyer bought off that blemish with a prototype...  :toast:

Here's my Mercedes 230 CE (that I bought in Germany(!) last year)

Floor and I had a few Volvos in the past.
They steer like a tank, but I do think they're pretty cool:

We had a bordeaux Volvo 164. The one in the picture is not our car, but looks similar. Except for the doorhandles, we had the early model ones.

And Floor had a turquoise blue Volvo 142. Man, that was a cool looking car! The one in the picture is not the car she had, but it comes pretty close:

Nowaday we both drive Mercedes Benz old timers...

I think he's got that wrong.
As far as I know all Greco Thunderbirds are full mahogany.
