Very nice work Mark.  I know that the flooded areas suffered great devastation.  It is wonderful that you rose to the occasion and gave something back to the folks there.

Unfortunately there seems to be more misery (in Japan) to have benefits for.

I think a brief explaination is in order Herr Doctor, ze lights, tell us about ze lights  ;)

Jawol!  when we get older we start losing our visual acuity (our eyes fossilize). It is particularly bad in dark places (like a stage) so I bought these LED fret position markers for just that situation.  Now I can't imagine playing a gig without them, they double as a cool part of the show kind of visual candy with my 3 basses (I usually have 3 at a show) all with fret markers on.  www.fretfx.com

Fender Basses / Re: Fullerton in 1959

How many people own a speed screwdriver like the one used at 2:02 in that film?  I have one I inherited from my dad.

I have one, it was called a "Yankee" screwdriver. I bought it when i was a carpenter in the 70s installing door hardware.

The Fender Factory was located on Raymond Street in Fullerton. There was a set of Santa Fe Railroad tracks on the north side of the property.  On the other side of the railroad tracks was a factory which made band instruments called F.E. Olds and Son.  I worked there for 3 years making Trombones in the mid 70s.  There were things that went on in that factory that would never fly today.

.great for sitting on the couch and not smacking the missus in the face with the headstock.

Thats an issue I have too, my Birds all stick so far over to the left that its easy to smack someone on stage.  Awesome, let me know how you like it when you get it.  I agree it will probably be one of those limited edition collector items you won't be able to find in a few years.
