I just found this on the internet so it must be true!  ;D

Even if pee-ay-zo is acceptable, I still get to poke fun at the Dusk Tiger.

Ballroom dancing is a small price to pay for having lots of gear.

That's more reasonable than most Specials I've seen in the last couple of years. And it's a 92 three knob so no Bart preamp. These sold for about $650 new. Good deal.

;D

Well I only have the one Greco pup in my bass, I *think* Orville's (which Joe favors) are constructed differently as they aren't nearly hot. This one just has "that" sound, a lot like a Lull pup too but louder and a bit raunchier.

Sorry, I had them mixed up. May have been made in the same factory but not necessarily the same pickup.

You can often analyze a pickup just by looking at its backside.  :P

pie-zo or pee-zo, not pee-ay-zo. Because I say so.  :P

You and Bionic Joe sure like those pickups. Maybe you should have them analyzed. I suppose you don't want to sacrifice one of them, though.

Saw this on several music blogs I follow, Carl was one of my favorites in the 50s and 60s. Sad to see him go. I'm pleased that somebody else here recognizes him.

I just relocated this site from a few years ago, it's a scientific study done at MIT: http://people.csail.mit.edu/rahimi/helmet/  ;D

I heard about the service network. Is it true that there was no local service under warranty any more? If so, they better get that fixed. I don't think they'll be selling many big tube heads and heavy cabs if shipping is necessary to get warranty service.

I think we determined it's 33 3/8" after Mark measured the nut to 12th fret distance.

Buzz, be careful what you wish for, that certain overseas barrister would probably produce low-priced teaser models with plastic pickups and black hardware then double the prices for chrome.

I've never played any model of Greco bird but this one sure is a beauty.

I had another reply to this thread. Was it removed for some violation or I did I accidentally delete it?  ???

I sure didn't delete anything, and I don't see anything else in my RSS feed.

I think you're right about Loud's strategy.

IIRC the Hofner thing was long scale and solid body, and there were only a handful made.

I'm dyslexic so I thought it would be about x-rays of Fred Schneider.
