I picked up the album when it first came out after reading a review in Guitar Player. The last time I remember doing this was after reading a similar review about the first Gov't Mule album. The reviews & what the groups influences were, were quite similar. I bought it thinking it would be another Gov't Mule, it isnt in my opinion. But it is a good album on it's own merit. The first Sammy Haggar album I've purchased  since the LP that had "I can't drive 55".  :)

My Les Paul Signatures have that sticker. Mr Gruhn says it runs from early 1970 to1983. I've read where Gibson had marketed models in Europe differently than in the US, sometimes before they were introduced here.

The shipping total book doesn't show any EB-2D's in cherry, only 175 in sunburst for 1970. It does show 23 EB-2's in cherry. It might be a conversion since the bridge pickup has a Gibson logo & the mudbucker does not.
I have never seen an EB-2 without an orange lable. The tuners, (one being replaced), the bridge & the Gibson logo mini humbucker are all from about the right era for it being an early seventies as the label suggests. Stranger things have popped up from time to time.  ???  ???  ???

Nice & good luck  :toast: When I go for a white hobbit, I'll be stuck buying the matching LPR. Won't be this year! Just missed one locally for about $1,400 about a year & half ago. Hopefully, you pick this on up for closer to that!  8)

I've had the BLT/Truce cd for about a week, I have to admit that the reveiws I read on it are right on. The Truce album is kinda hard to listen to. It might grow on me but I doubt it. BLT is much better, but not as good as Bridge of Sighs in my opinion.

I managed to aquire a pair of these in fireburst. I did have a couple chances to buy a CMT, but a pair would have been next to imposible. I waited too long to buy an origional Thunderbird & Firebird, this may be the closest I ever get. They both are the early version with the three way toggle for Expansion & Compression.
I picked up a NOS circuit board on eBay a few years back. Does anybody know if there is a difference between the bass & the guitar as far as the Moog circuit goes?

I still have "The Master Key Chromatic Pitch Instrument" tucked away in my '69 LP Deluxe. It's been in there for over 35 years. I don't think I've used it in 25 years.  ???

They must have used the same plastic cover for many different pickups. I would have never guessed the one was for the Futura, but after googling the part number, a couple posts popped up with the part number for the Futura pickups. My newest parts book is 1981, so I have no reference to anything newer than that. It did have the RD Artist pickup part numbers...........

These cars that have this problem, use a "Throttle by wire" setup instead of throttle linkage. My 2000 Tundra was one of the first Toyota's to utilize this technology. It uses a potentiometer & a senser. The news flashed CTS for a brief moment as being the supplier in question. Maybe your Gibson & your car have simillar parts............. ???

I Just came in second best again on a bid for two pickups, sold together for a pair of guitars that I have.

I don't think anybody else has both of these. (Most likely by poular demand) & I believe the buyer thinks that they are for an RD Artist bass. I contacked the seller & gave him the info I had, then decided to bid on them..........coincidence, I think not!
