64 TB II:

69 EB-1, not so mojo'ed from afar ...

... but look at the checking:

... and the back of the neck:

Does butchery and abuse count as "mojo" ...?

The only thing holding a lot of her together at this point were the stickers... ;D

This is just going to get a polish up and the TRC is just plain lost...

My White '89............

It gets a lot of backside lovin'........... Note the color change on the neck due to sweat stain.

The front has it's share of dings and sweat stain too, it just doen't photograph well.

And my '77, just nicely worn in, no big nasties here - just a pleasant assortment of dings. I love this bass, it's a total player and comes along to almost every show as a primary or backup.

Uwe, the '64 is my Holy Grail! Thanks for the close up................... Now I have to go clean up  ;)

I think The Hulk may have used it on tour for 20 years or so.  The strings have worn channels in the bridge pickup, frets, and fretboard.  The detailed pics are mine;  if I had seen them in the ad I wouldn't have bought it, thinking there's no way it would even function.  Amazingly it does, sounds great and still takes a low action.  I've since turned the bridge pickup around, taken the rear strap button off (amateur install, drilled through the thin hollow graphite, looked like a disaster waiting to happen) and come up with a homemade replacement for the missing (of course) original pivot plate.  Plan on relocating the output jack back to the stock location and putting the tone control back in eventually.

People seem to actually like the worn paint, but I'd like to get the scratched-in "RAMPAGE" off of it.  Seller swore it was stock white, I didn't know much about Steinbergers so it wasn't until recently I looked it up in the SN list online and saw it wasn't.

I love that Les Paul Bass!  I passed on one for really cheap about 20 years ago because it was so heavy.  I like the "Made In West Germany" tuners too.

Of course. Why settle for anything less? Made rom the finest Dutch bicycle scrap etal. We had a surplus stock once.

I actually hate them.
I prefer large string post tuners over those flimsy small ones.
Stringing (and precise tuning) those shorties is way easier with large post machine heads.

It's the smartest modification the previous owner did on my "prototype" Les Paul Bass...

My '73 Hobbit had the holes for the origional two post bridge plugged & a BadAss bridge installed before I bought it. Not to mention a poor frontal refin. (Looks better in picture?)

My '65 EB-0F was sort of refinished before I bought it. My intent is to have it refinished back to its origional color someday.
