In coming '69 Thunderbird !
« on: October 24, 2013, 05:08:25 AM »
Well I couldn't take it any more and gave in. I'll be picking up Baz's '69 NR and bring it home on Saturday! I am super stoked I sold my near mint NR about seven years ago and have regretted it ever since. The missus always said I could get another "someday" well that day is here! A quick pic

Cool. While you're there find a Portillo's and get a Chicago Hot Dog (or two).I'm missing those dogs and probably won't get that way for a month or so.

Dogs are good, but the beef is where it's at! And don't forget the cheese fries.

Congrats Scott. Always nice to see one stay in the family here. Let me know if you have time to swing by the case shop here. There's a Portillo's right down the road.  ;D

Unfortunately Scott and I are meeting somewhere 1/2 way in between Orland Park and Rochester...otherwise I would take him to Johnnie's Beef in Elmwood Park. And after that...I drive down to Columbus, IN to pick up my new vintage Hiwatt DR201. I am SO glad Scott is getting this...He deserves this Killer bass...He digs the NR..while I dig the Reverse....All good!!!

They have opened two locations here recently. EVERYONE raves about the beef!!! I need to hit up one of these places.

Keep watching for three-figure serial numbers...

Nice trade off for you both, and seeeeeeriously envious, Scott...  ;)

Ah, isn't love grand?  When two souls meet and the result is a an NR, it makes me all teary.  ;D. Seriously, it couldn't go to a better home than the Rochester GOT NR Museum and Hiwatt Emporium.

You two should get together with the HOG, have them promote a tour of your museums for a cut of the ticket price.  ;)
