Breakfast American-style
« on: March 04, 2014, 09:17:37 PM »
I saw this online with the caption "As a European this is how I imagine Americans have breakfast."

Well, how unrealistic can you get?  ???  No orange juice? Only one egg? The coffee's not black. And the pistol always goes on the left.  :P

Also missing biscuits, hash browns or grits.  Definitely not a very interesting breakfast (or very American,) despite the foray into hyperbolic images.

It needs more bacon, and it should be cooler, so the grease is congealed - sheesh, get it right!

My old drummer had a standard post-gig breakfast of a dozen runny sunny-side up eggs, a pound of floppy bacon and toast.  He did this 3 times a week when I first started working with him.

I see Jesus in the toast.

One egg is insanity, I need at least 3.  And the pistol is more of a formal dining out type of a thing. For breakfast I always have an AR-15 and a machete.

No jam for the toast?  Are we BARBARIANS here???

I do however approve of the pistol.  It appears to be an S&W Model 39, IMHO one of the finest semi-autos ever made.

The gun looks more like a Sig Sauer P228 to me, the Model 39 has the safety on the slide and the triggerguard is rounder. Sheesh, Americans... ;)

Why does it have to be a European that points out the BIG giveaway that it's not a real representation...

The plate with the bacon... surely that's barely the size of a side-order dish...?
The random mind of a Silver Surfer...
If research was easy, it wouldn't need doing...
Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

Shouldn't there be a spork on one side of the plate and a Bowie knife on the other?
