Sorry to be so slow to catch up with this; deepest sympathies to both of you, Kenny & Scott - and to your families.

I suspect Anglo-American POWs. They tunnelled everywhere.

Can't be that, there was a bed covering it, not a stove.

There's been a fair few "sink holes" in recent weeks, including the Ohio one very recently; but is it just my eyes that's seeing bricks built in a circle, that suggest this one.........

"Christ, they've got Hitler on the telly!”

That didn't kick up nearly as much fuss as this TOTP appearance did at around the same time.

"Sparks make highly original and witty, even quirky music and do not get the recognition at the LBO they deserve.

Saw Sparks once; on the same tour that prompted this TV appearance around the same time.......

Three highlights of the gig, in this order..........
1) Being asked to make space by a couple of roadies so someone could stand beside me, watch the support band (Finitribe), and dance with me to them & it turned out to be Christy Moore - yes the drummer in that video.  :P
2) Making the mistake of catching Ron's gaze and being stared out by him, but actually getting a smile off him when I caved in, oh and the brilliant idea of rearranging the letters on his Roland keyboard.
3) Russ's unbelievable vocal range after all these years.

The Bismarck's ant-aircraft guns couldn't go low enough for the lumbering Swordfish which, flying so slow, had all the time in the world to take aim, undisturbed by German fire.

I read that of the ones that did hit them the majority just passed through the 'plane. But it could have been a boys war comic I read it in, it was a long time ago.
IIRC it was also a British navy attack on the Italian fleet/.harbour which inspired the attack on Pearl.

And of course we've all heard of HMS Argus.

It's not that simple.

It's not that complicated; the sculptor was obviously a fan of British comedy.

I read Reach For The Sky the first time in 8th grade I think that was in '72. It has been in my reading pile ever since.

If ever you get chance to see Michael Parkinson (UK chat show) interview Bader take it! It's excellent, similar vocabulary to Terry-Thomas. "Rotters" & "Prangs" etc. It's not on YT just now, but it was before, maybe the BBC had it taken down, could only find this....

It performed many duties and was easy to modify for various armament configurations. If I had 3 million I'd be all over that !
Who you gonna call? TankBusters!

It's amazing what you can do with plywood and dope!
Like make a longer lasting spliff?

Gibson won't do that anymore, they've Reformed.

Pity! If they did a remodeling of it they could see if the headstock Angli can be fixed while they're at it.
