It's kind of cool. Wonder if the charred wood affects sound much? (Looking around uneasily) There is no established physical rule that the degree of charring does not affect sound, is there?

Wow, that chrome holds up under the worst possible conditions!

Is the serial number still visible? After all, it could be hot!

This thread is preoccupied with poo, thanks to me! I can always be counted on to lower the bar.
Well, at least it's a fartless bass!

I can't see what's wrong with the headstock :-\

If you check the rear headstock view, it doesn't even come close to being symmetrical, and it doesn't look like it was designed to be different - it just looks messed up. Compare it to Dave's Vintage Hofner link and you'll see that headstock is shaped "correctly". With regard to the color back there, it's either bad Photoshop or bad finishing.

Made by a luthier, it says...

Sure it is, a not very compitent luthier but a luthier none the less.  :P

That's a typo. It actually reads "Made by some guy named Luther"

The pickup looks like a Bill Lawrence.
The rest looks like poo.

Whew! I was afraid this might have something to do with Daryl Dragon!  :o

Only the seniors among us will get that reference...

Everything on that page is super cool - obviously the "Blue Deuce" is king, but that modded red '76 with the weeds on the fingerboard and extra controls is also very interesting.

Hey Joe,

If it's any consolation your left big toe nail looks way better than mine - which fell off about a month ago  :-\

Oh dear! I guess the strappy, open-toe look will have to wait till next year!
