But I'm with you, Ilan, don't despair! I like its sound, yet neither the LP Junior doublecut shape nor short scale basses in principle do much for me, I like long necks as a visual statement, I guess if you dig deep enough I'm a "size matters" guy.
But it's a coherent design and sound is more important than looks.
I also don't mind the open pore matte look (it can look good), but it's no doubt a more recent fashion fin (also pushed for economic reasons) and combining that with the original TBird egg slicer bridge and amber knobs doesn't do it for me at all. With a fin like that, that bass should have had the most modern hardware available.
