Make sure he uses hide glue. These neck joints are like violin family neck joints.

That is a 60's Hofner 185 "Artiste" bass with replacement bridge (the original tailpiece was left on) and non-original pickups.

It's a short-scale Kay K-20B, made in Taiwan. Bolt-on construction.

It really felt like a big ukelele. The pictures make the body look much larger than it is. It's about the same size as a Hofner Beatle Bass, just a smidge bigger.Thanks. GAS is gone.
