BöC or the Swedes? BöC sound tired these days, especially the once very alert Eric Bloom, who is now a mere sideman to Donald Buck Dharma Roeser (always a major force in the band, but not as dominating as he is now).

This is a terrific live version of "Last Days of May" when Allen Lanier was still alive. He's on a Telecaster here and Eric Bloom in on keyboards, Allen's usual instrument. I love this version.

I've had good luck buying stuff on CL. Selling things on CL is a different matter although when I recently sold my '79 Powerwagon it went well, with little BS.

The two last series had the arm cut and belly cut.
I think that arm cut did not look good on the NR Tbird. But that's my opinion.

The second series is probably the most popular.
They are rare.

The third series had the largest production numbers.

BaCH kept changing little things with each series. I have not kept track of all the minor changes.

There were what, 20 in the first series, 30 in the second. Any idea how many were in the third? I couldn't imagine it was more than 50 or so.

Didn't the early Bachbirds have a maple neck?

Maybe the Series I did. I don't think the thin Series II or later IIIs had maple necks.

Does that mean Epiphone goes down with them? Most of their instruments are made in Japan, Korea and China?

And the new Thunderbird Vintage Pros are made in Indonesia!

Maybe Rob needs to start work on an Epiphone Bass Book!

I interviewed Marko of Nightwish once. A great guy. The Buzzard and doubleneck player.
I don't know why, but the interview was like a discussion here and after 20 minutes we were talking about rock 'n roll antics. The conclusion was that -A- flatscreens don't explode that nice as an old television when you throw it out of your hotel room and - B- modern hotel rooms' lack of windows, so no way to throw televisions out. it was a great and hilarious interview after a serious bit.

Nightwish is playing here next month and I think I'd be foolish not to go see them!

I ran across Nightwish kind of by accident while listening to something else on YouTube and gave them a try.

I like them a lot! The current singer is Dutch and she has a terrific voice. The bass player often uses a Buzzard, which is interesting to see.

Weird and rad! In red it looks like some sort of odd internal organ you don't usually see!
I love the mixed use of tuners and the jack!

That bass looks like a combination Longhorn/Horseshoe Crab. Not that I entirely dislike it but for $2700, I don't know.

I try to see this as something that needs to be saved, obviously it's a challenge but not impossible?
This will not be the first time I put hours into an instrument that I won't get back (if I buy it) but
I still think it's calling on me. (No Stryper jokes, please)

^This.
There was no earthly reason for me to rehab the Smurf Ripper other than it was a '73 and I felt like it was asking me to do it. I'll never get my money back, but don't really care. It's up and running and I feel good about doing it, so isn't that what matters!

Go for that Tbird if you feel good about it!!!
