My 2013 left-handed Thunderbird pickguard became warped and cracked. Long story short, although my luthier said their supplier could make the pickguard with logo, turns out the luthier got a sticker and applied it after the fact and I think it looks like crap (some lines thicker than others). I can also peel it up with my fingernail. Are there any better options?

The Jim DeCola pups were more versatile and offered better transparency without ever sounding sterile (and I really love the TBird model equipped with them), but let's face it, nobody buys a TBird to sound versatile. It's a bass bought mainly for its visual appeal and its heritage, plus that not every Joes Blow plays one, and it's supposed to deliver a rock sound, period.I'm quite happy with the TB+ in my 2013. They also make a very comfortable thumb rest.

I'm really disappointed in what I'm seeing in the 2018s. I was hoping for some cool stuff, like the two-piece bridge the Epi Vintage Pro got. This is just a 2013 with a Babicz bridge on it. They couldn't even eliminate the third mount hole and use a cooler bridge?

I hear you, sister. Free services are great in that they're free, but you also don't have much leverage. For important things, I like to pay for them. I use FastMail for email, for example.

Damn. Last time I saw him live was in 2014, on my birthday. Not sure if he was sick yet, but he didn't seem well. I thought maybe it was that he just wasn't aging well, since it wasn't often I got to see him.

Wow, I didn't know about the second round of cancer. Best to her. I'm incredibly sad about Grant Hart. I'm a huge Husker Du fan and didn't even know he had cancer until waking up to a message from a friend this morning telling me he'd died.
